Many LGBTQ+ youth find themselves in the unfortunate situation of being disowned by family and turned away by friends. Partnership for Strong Families works diligently to help youth in this situation come to reconciliation with family, placement in partner homes, or find a place with adoptive parents. Domestic violence is a reality faced by members of the LGBTQ+ community. Unfortunately, victims in this community often feel that they have no place to turn for assistance. Please join us at our meeting on Tuesday, March 19th, at which we will have guests from the Alachua County Sheriff's Office Trauma Intervention and Special Services Bureau and from Peaceful Paths who will provide information and be available to answer questions.
